While the City Sleeps

Yesterday, as I sometimes do, I went to a major intersection (1-3,000 cars an hour on average – except at quitting time when it goes up four to six fold for a while) in my city of over one million, and held up my “CHRIST IS KING” sign. Props to Brother Nathanael of Real Jew News and Candace Owens for the inspiration there.

I've been doing this for about four years. Not every week, or even every month, but semi-regularly anyway. As a rule, no more than two or three cars per hundred acknowledge the message. And some of those flip me off or curse me. But most of the (few) responses are positive. Well, this is considered a Bible belt city.

Sometimes people will stop and come over and talk, which is always nice. They seem surprised to learn I'm a Catholic. But I understand. It's not something Catholics often, or even rarely, do. But then, most Catholics aren't really Catholics. There's a long article I could write on that.

Anyway, spiritually, America is in a deep slumber and most Americans are sleep walkers. Except for the occultists. And the witches for their part keep busy. They always have. If I were to stand at the intersection holding up a "Lucifer Is King" sign I'm confident it would get a better response. It’s gonna’ take a lot to wake people up.
