If you go to Africa and check out the “nicer parts of town” in places like Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria, (Lagos has some very nice, high dollar neighborhoods) Kenya, Mozambique, etc, you'll find quite a few Whites living in them. The professional/technical classes who keep those countries running. The Africans, generally speaking, respect Whites and welcome them.

I worked once with a Nigerian nurse from Lagos who was debating with himself whether to return home. I asked him why he stayed in America if he wasn't happy here. He told me that he wouldn’t make any money in Nigeria.

Then he said something that sounded strange, but which other Africans have confirmed as true: “I would just be a low paid nurse [in Nigeria]. If YOU went you would be made the director of a hospital or some ministry. But you would need to become friends with a colonel.”
